‘Prison Break’ Star Dances and Sings to Moroccan Music in Ouarzazate

By Myriam Ait Malk

Rabat - A recent video of Wentworth Miller, lead actor in FOX’s series “Prison Break,” surfaced on June 14 showing the famous American actor dancing and singing along to “Dakka Marrakchia,” a traditional type of music originally from Marrakech that is usually sang by a group of males.

Miller clapped along joyfully to the beat of the drums as the leader of the music group gave him directions on what to say in Moroccan dialect.

The 44-year-old actor did not hesitate to happily dance around with many of the women present in the room for the celebration of his 44th birthday.

The shooting of “Prison Break” in late May in Ouarzazate and nearby regions did not go unnoticed, as Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller’s co-star in the show, denounced the deplorable state of the Ouarzazate hospital he was transported to due to an injury on set.

Since its first season in 2005, “Prison Break” has ceaselessly attracted millions of viewers  around the world and this time is not any different.

The long-awaited fifth season is on its way, and the plot is set five years after the last episode. In this new episode, Michael Scofield, the main character, is imprisoned in Yemen.
